Common questions
When is the best time to dive with whale sharks?
Somewhere year-round: the Maldives’ South Ari atoll hosts a resident aggregation you can plan around almost any month, while Galápagos delivers huge pregnant females at Darwin and Wolf from June to November, and Thailand’s Richelieu Rock peaks February to April.
Where can I see schooling hammerhead sharks?
The great schools gather where cool currents meet remote seamounts: Galápagos and Cocos Island from June to November, Socorro from November to May, and the Red Sea’s Daedalus reef in the summer months.
What is the best month to see manta rays?
Reef mantas are year-round across the Indo-Pacific; the Maldives’ Baa Atoll manta season peaks June to November (Hanifaru Bay itself is snorkel-only), while Socorro’s giant oceanic mantas are best November to May.
Are marine-life sightings guaranteed?
No honest operator guarantees wildlife. We show real season-by-season odds and a reliability rating for each destination, and we plan your trip for the peak window to give you the best possible chance.
